Storyteller Clara Kamunde tells Afri-Crafty Tales on September 27 at Menlo Park Library (inmenlo.com) — Menlo Park Library kicks off its 11th Annual Storytelling Festival this Sunday, September 27, with Kenyan-born storyteller Clara Kamunde performing from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the Alma Street library. Residents can enjoy African "How & Why" and "Origins" tales from an award-winning arts educator whose work centers on creativity, culture, and community access to the arts.

Councilmember urges citywide traffic review as developer increases SRI project's housing (almanacnews.com) — Menlo Park's SRI Parkline redevelopment could add more than 1,000 homes, taller office buildings, and a new retail village, but a key councilmember says he won't approve it without a citywide transportation and traffic study. Neighbors in Lindfield Oaks and near Burgess Park worry about gridlock and changing setbacks, while the developer prepares a revised plan that will undergo full environmental review.

Harpist Alexander Boldachev performs in Menlo Park on September 27 (inmenlo.com) — A free harp concert featuring internationally acclaimed virtuoso Alexander Boldachev is happening this Sunday, September 27, at New Community Church on Middle Avenue in Menlo Park. Organized by the Silicon Valley Chapter of the American Harp Society, the intimate performance promises energetic, creative arrangements that showcase the harp in unexpected ways, offering locals a rare chance to hear a world-class musician close to home.
