• Earthquake measuring 2.5 shakes area near Milpitas, CA on Sept. 19 (sacbee.com) — A small 2.5-magnitude earthquake shook an area about six miles east-northeast of Milpitas early Saturday morning, but quakes of this size rarely cause damage. Residents are encouraged to report what they felt to USGS and review practical safety tips on how to protect themselves during future shaking and possible aftershocks.
