Cafe Specializing In Czech Kolaches Announces New Opening In Mission Viejo

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A new specialty cafe is coming to Mission Viejo.

Kolache Factory, known for its buttery Czech pastries and selection of coffees, announced plans to open a Mission Viejo location on its Instagram page.

A kolache is a traditional Czech pastry made from soft yeast dough and is often stuffed with sweet items like fruit jams, sweet curd cheese, poppy seeds or plum spread.

Kolache Factory expands on this traditionally sweet dessert by filling their pastries with a variety of ingredients ranging from sweet to savory.

While it was not immediately known when Kolache Factory would open its Mission Viejo location, one resident reported seeing a "coming soon" sign at an empty storefront in the plaza near the Golden State (5) Freeway and La Paz Road.

Kolache Factory also has locations in Huntington Beach and Tustin, according to its website.
