• Caltrans Bypass ROW Project Update (coastsidebuzz.com) — Caltrans crews are now thinning vegetation on the Devil’s Slide/Martini Creek bypass in Montara and Moss Beach to reduce wildfire risk, with weekday work through July 15, 2026. Expect daytime noise and activity near Cedar, Date, and Sunshine Valley as long-pushed-for fuel reduction finally moves ahead after years of advocacy by Red Alert Montara Moss Beach and local agencies. 
• San Mateo County 2026-27 Road Maintenance Project List Includes: Capistrano, Alhambra, Obispo, Mirada, Montara Main, Sea Cove, Miramar, Higgins and Cypress to 16th (coastsidebuzz.com) — Major SB1-funded road work is planned for 2026–27 on Montara Main and other Coastside streets, with about $15.3 million in improvements across San Mateo County. The Midcoast Community Council, which represents unincorporated Montara, is tracking these projects and invites residents to follow and comment at its hybrid public meetings.
