• Man to Stand Trial for Alleged Killing More Than 20 Years Ago (mynewsla.com) — A man has been ordered to stand trial in the 2004 shooting death of a Moreno Valley resident after cold-case detectives reexamined evidence from a confrontation on Perris Boulevard near JFK Drive. Investigators say new leads allowed them to secure an arrest warrant this March. The defendant remains jailed on $1 million bail while awaiting an August arraignment in Riverside. 
• Motorcyclist Dies Following Homeland Crash (patch.com) — A Homeland motorcyclist died after a collision with a minivan, despite being revived at the scene and rushed in critical condition to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley. CHP investigators are examining the circumstances of the crash, including a handgun found in the roadway. The van driver stayed on scene and was questioned by officers.
