1.4 Million Vote-By-Mail Ballots Sent In Riverside County
Voters have several options to return their completed ballots.

RIVERSIDE, CA — The Riverside County Registrar of Voters Office announced Monday that it has mailed 1.4 million vote-by-mail ballots to the U.S. Postal Service for the upcoming Nov. 3, 2026, General Election.
"The County of Riverside Registrar of Voters encourages all eligible voters to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming General Election," said Registrar of Voters Art Tinoco.
Return and Submission Options
Voters have several options to return their completed ballots:

- By Mail: Ballots can be mailed through the U.S. Postal Service without requiring postage on the return envelope.
- Drop Boxes: Ballots can be deposited into official vote-by-mail drop boxes. Two 24-hour drop boxes are available outside the main entrance of the registrar's office at 2720 and 2724 Gateway Drive in Riverside. Additional countywide drop-off locations and hours can be located online through the County of Riverside Registrar of Voters.
- In-Person: Ballots can be dropped off in person at any vote center within Riverside County.
Early Voting and Assistance
Early voting at the Registrar of Voters office began Monday, Oct. 5, and continues Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office will also be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Residents can check their voter eligibility or register online via the California Secretary of State portal, or request a paper application by calling 951-486-7200.

To ensure timely processing, voters can find official updates, drop-off locations, and voter guides directly on the County of Riverside Registrar of Voters website.
California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D., released the latest statewide Report of Registration which reflects data as of Sept. 4, 2026. A record total of 23,164,977 eligible Californians are registered to vote.
The report shows 10,405,618 Golden State residents, or 44.92%, are registered as Democrats, compared to 5,747,193 residents, or 24.81%, registered as Republicans. The remaining are registered under various other affiliations, including 22.94% who are registered as No Party Preference.

Californians can register to vote or update their voter registration online at registertovote.ca.gov.
Eligible California voters who have not registered to vote and want to participate in the Nov. 3, 2026, General Election can register via “Same Day” or “Conditional” voter registration.
Californians who are unsure of their voter registration status can quickly check it online at voterstatus.sos.ca.gov.
