Join The Adopt-A-Street In Murrieta For Earth Day And Every Day
Whether you are a business, an individual family, or a service club and organization. Anyone can apply for the Love You Streets program.
MURRIETA, CA — During Earth Day week, the City of Murrieta is offering its "Adopt-A-Street" program.
This is part of a litter-reduction campaign designed to keep the streets litter- and debris-free, according to a city spokesperson.
"This program establishes a partnership between volunteer groups and the City of Murrieta by working together in the effort of litter control in public rights-of-way. The City, in conjunction with the Western Riverside Council of Governments' (WRCOG) Love Your Neighborhood program, can provide gloves, bags, litter pickers, and safety vests to volunteers."

Adoptable streets are only in the city of Murrieta and approved by the group coordinator. Streets must be available for adoption and not currently sponsored by another group.
The commitment includes volunteering to adopt a full mile of a city street, to remove litter and weeds at least four times a year and the ability to make a two-year commitment.
