Murrieta Fire & Rescue Paramedics Take 3rd Place In Statewide Competition
The CFED Conference & Expo was held in Indian Wells from May 17 to May 21.
MURRIETA, CA — Two paramedics with Murrieta Fire & Rescue took home third place after participating in an annual, statewide competition for first responders this week.
Wyatt Barnard and Jeremy Spiker competed against 11 teams, testing their advanced life support knowledge, clinical skills, and decision-making under pressure at the California Fire, EMS and Disaster Conference & Expo (CFED), Murrieta Fire & Rescue announced on its Facebook page on Thursday.
"We couldn’t be prouder of their dedication, expertise, and the outstanding way they represented our department and community on the state stage," officials said on Facebook.
The CFED Conference & Expo was held in Indian Wells from Sunday to Thursday. The event is the state's only conference for first responders, and provides continuing education and resources for emergency personnel.
