The weekly report also lists temporary closures in Temecula, Beaumont, Lake Elsinore, and Palm Springs, with some already cleared to reopen after fixes.
   

4. Newsom vetoes bill to stop DMV from keeping money after sales of towed cars (almanacnews.com) — A bill by state Sen. Kelly Seyarto of Murrieta that would have redirected extra money from sales of towed cars to the state's unclaimed property system has been vetoed by Gov. Gavin Newsom. The governor said the measure lacked a clear process and could add costs, while the DMV has instead launched a tool to help owners check if they're owed funds.
