Prescription Drug Take-back Day Saturday Near Murrieta: Where To Go
It's time to dispose of those unwanted and expired prescriptions and sharps/needles properly. Here's what you need to know.

MURRIETA, CA — While you're spring cleaning over the weekend, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Southwest Sheriff's Station asks that you look through your medicine cabinet for expired and unwanted prescriptions.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ralph's Shopping Center, located at 33145 Temecula Parkway.
Here, deputies will be on hand to retrieve those unwanted meds and even needles for proper disposal.

During the National Prescription Take Back Day event, residents are encouraged to come drop off unneeded medication for safe disposal, and no worries. No questions will be asked.
As a bonus, sharps (needles) will also be accepted at this event.

- What to Drop Off: Tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs are accepted.
- Liquids & Vapes: Liquid products (e.g., cough syrup) must be sealed, and vaping devices are accepted only if lithium batteries are removed.
- Excluded Items: Syringes, sharps (unless otherwise specified), and illicit drugs are generally not accepted at these specific events.
