Woman, 69, Struck And Killed By Car In Newport Beach: Police

The crash happened at around 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 3400 block of Irvine Avenue, police said.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A 69-year-old was struck and killed by a vehicle in Newport Beach while walking, police said Thursday.

Newport Beach police officers responded to the crash at about 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 3400 block of Irvine Avenue, near Bristol Street, authorities said.

MaryAnn White-Calhoun, a woman believed to be homeless, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver and passengers in the vehicle were taken to local hospitals to be treated for injuries that were not considered to be life threatening, according to police.
