• Hilton calls for voter ID during Norwalk press conference — The Norwalk Patriot (thenorwalkpatriot.com) — A Republican candidate for governor brought his campaign to the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder’s office in Norwalk, using a press conference there to renew calls for voter ID and faster ballot counting. He later secured the second spot in the November runoff, while rival Xavier Becerra led the field and Tom Steyer conceded. The visit put Norwalk briefly at the center of the statewide election debate.
