Leslie's Pool Supplies bankruptcy: Which stores are closing (rollingout.com) — Leslie's Pool Supplies is closing its Novato store as part of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy that shutters eight Bay Area locations and 26 across California. Novato pool owners will need to shift to nearby branches or other retailers while the chain restructures its debt and seeks to emerge with fewer than its former 1,000 stores.
   

5. How Marin author Meg Keene became a lifeline for Jewish novelists sidelined after Oct. 7 (jweekly.com) — Novato author Meg Keene has turned her own struggles getting a deeply Jewish novel published after Oct. 7 into a new role championing sidelined Jewish writers. Working from her Marin home, she's partnering with the Anti-Defamation League and leading a new Wicked Son imprint that's already attracting award-winning authors who say mainstream publishers won't touch their stories.
