• Oakdale-Riverbank Fire Calls 4-15-26 (oakdaleleader.com) — Recent fire and medical calls in Oakdale included a power pole incident on East F Street and a successful cardiac arrest save on Mustang Drive. Crews also joined the Oakdale Rodeo Parade and attended local board and MAC meetings while training on water rescues and EMS skills. 
• GoFundMe launched for family of woman killed in Stanislaus-area tunnel collapse (mercedsunstar.com) — A deadly tunnel collapse on the Canyon Tunnel Project, which serves the Oakdale and South San Joaquin irrigation districts’ Joint Supply Canal, has prompted a GoFundMe for the victim’s family. The 35-year-old geologist was killed while working near the Stanislaus County line, and donations are being sought to cover funeral costs and support her fiancé and two young children.
