• Blaze of wooden pallets a big task for firefighters in Orange (orangecountytribune.com) — Firefighters in the City of Orange battled a massive blaze Tuesday afternoon after a mountain of wooden pallets ignited on North Batavia Street, triggering a three-alarm response. Mutual-aid crews helped contain the fire to the pallet yard, protecting nearby commercial buildings, and no injuries were reported as Orange City Fire crews worked hot spots after knockdown.
   

• Driving Through North Orange County Could Get Easier (voiceofoc.org) — Driving through parts of Orange and neighboring cities could get smoother as a new traffic signal synchronization project is planned along State College Boulevard and The City Drive. Anaheim will lead upgrades at 58 intersections, including segments ending in Orange, aiming to cut travel times, fuel use, and emissions through coordinated, fiber-connected signals.
