22-Year-Old Man Shot In OC Robbery; 2 Arrested

Two men suspected in the robbery and fatal shooting of a 22-year-old man in Orange County have been arrested, police said.

TUSTIN, CA — Two men suspected in the robbery and fatal shooting of a 22-year-old man in Orange County were arrested, police said Tuesday.

Police were dispatched at around 7:25 p.m. Sunday regarding shots fired in the 13900 block of Tustin East Drive, in the City of Tustin, police said.

The responding officers found a man on the south side of Tustin East Drive who was suffering from a gunshot wound, the Tustin Police Department reported.

The victim was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center, where he later died as a result of his gunshot wound. He was identified as 22-year-old Cristhian Cruz of Tustin.

According to investigators, Cruz was looking to sell a luxury item on an online site and agreed to meet at the location on Tustin East Drive.

Two men arrived at the site to meet Cruz, where a confrontation and struggle ensued and Cruz was shot.

Both men fled from the scene, police said.

20-year-old Amaree Devon Johnson of Corona was found on Sunday and arrested by the Corona Police Department before being booked at the Orange County Jail on suspicion of murder.

The second suspect, 19-year-old Aaron Cantreal Arterberry of Corona, was taken into custody on Monday by the Tustin Police Department. He was booked at the Orange County Jail on suspicion of robbery.
