BMW Strikes, Kills 2 Women In Orange County: Police

The impact from the crash left the car's windshield shattered, and its hood heavily damaged, authorities said.

STANTON, CA — Two women were killed when they were hit by a BMW in Orange County Monday night, police said.

Dispatchers received multiple 911 calls around 9 p.m. reporting that a BMW had struck two pedestrians at the intersection of Magnolia and Cerritos avenues in Stanton, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Upon arrival, deputies found two women down in the street who had been hit by the vehicle. They were taken to a local hospital where they died of their injuries.

The victims' identities have not been released, but one woman was said to be in her 30s and the other in her 60s.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

According to KTLA, video from the scene showed a white BMW with a shattered front windshield and heavily damaged hood.

It was not immediately clear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, authorities said.
