• Man dead after crash in Orangevale, CHP says (abc10.com) — A man died in a Wednesday night crash near Oak Avenue and Filbert Avenue in Orangevale, prompting a major road closure, according to the CHP. Westbound Oak Avenue is shut down for an unknown time, with drivers detoured onto southbound Filbert. Authorities are withholding the man’s identity while family is notified, and it’s still unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role.

  • Please be more respectful of horses in Orangevale Park (and everywhere in the neighborhood)… I board my horse nearby and first of all, I’ve noticed a LOT of people with off leash dogs.
    Most of them will gather their dogs when they see me riding or hand walking my horse, but the majority will not. Many will let their dogs off leash… (Nextdoor Orangevale Plaza)
