Funded with $4.5 million in ARPA money, the park is designed with local skaters’ input and will serve La Colonia, Rose Park, and surrounding neighborhoods when construction wraps up in spring 2027.

2. Month's-Long Narcotics Investigation Nets 12 Arrests (crimevoice.com) — A multi-month narcotics investigation across Ventura and Los Angeles counties has led to 12 arrests, including a 45-year-old man from Oxnard, and the seizure of about 20 pounds of drugs, guns, and suspected drug money. Detectives say couriers moved methamphetamine, fentanyl, and heroin from Los Angeles into Ventura County, and all named suspects are being held without bail while one remains at large on a felony warrant.
