Blue Zones Week Block Party Brings Music, Dancing, Giveaways Thursday In Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS, CA — Head downtown this week for a block party Thursday night as Blue Zones Project Palm Springs celebrates the end of Blue Zones Week.

Blue Zones Week is a communitywide celebration designed to encourage healthier, longer lives by helping Palm Springs residents incorporate wellness into their daily routines. Organized by Blue Zones Project Palm Springs, the event series that began on Oct. 17 emphasizes physical activity, healthy eating, social connections and finding a sense of purpose. Activities include group walks, hiking, wellness workshops, community art projects and social gatherings, all aimed at making healthy choices easier and more enjoyable for residents, according to the event website.

The Village Fest Block Party is scheduled for 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at 110 N. Palm Canyon Drive, bringing together local vendors, community organizations and residents for an evening focused on health, wellness and community connection.

DJ Alf Alpha will provide music for the celebration, which will also feature dancing and prizes for participants showing off their best moves.

Attendees can enjoy healthy bites and refreshments, giveaways and an opportunity to pet bunnies, according to the event flyer. Local organizations will offer activities, resources and information about ways to support healthier lifestyles.
