Bail Release For DHS Man Suspected Of Possessing Child Pornography
Authorities allegedly discovered "more than 500 images of child pornography," police said.
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA — A Desert Hot Springs man suspected of possessing hundreds of explicit images involving children was free on bail Monday.
Richard Anthony Rodgers Jr., 45, was booked last week on suspicion of child sexual abuse material and possession of over 600 images of obscene matter, according to Lt. Christopher Saucier of the Desert Hot Springs Police Department.
Police said officers saw Rodgers leave his residence and later conducted a traffic stop, during which he was taken into custody without incident.

Officers, with assistance from the Riverside County Child Exploitation Team, served a search warrant at Rodgers' residence in the 64000 block of Pierson Boulevard Wednesday morning. Authorities allegedly discovered "more than 500 images of child pornography," the department stated.
