Pedestrian Hospitalized After Being Struck By Vehicle In RivCo: Sheriff

Deputies responded to the scene and found the pedestrian lying in the road.

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Rancho Mirage and hospitalized with unspecified injuries, sheriff's officials said Thursday.

The person was struck at 9:42 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Bob Hope Drive and Highway 111, according to Lt. Deirdre Vickers of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Responding deputies found the pedestrian lying on the road. The person was taken to a hospital with stable vital signs.

The driver who struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and was cooperative with investigators, Vickers said. No arrests were made, and no further details were immediately available.
