RANCHO MIRAGE, CA — Multiple tour dates for 'The Psychedelic Furs' upcoming concert series across California have been postponed or canceled, the band announced. A spokesperson has cited "a serious medical issue within the band," over social media.

Little has been disclosed regarding the condition or the Psychedelic Furs band member. In a Facebook message, they stated that all tour dates scheduled for spring and summer are being canceled. "Please accept our deepest apologies for the inconvenience," a band spokesperson wrote. Refunds for tickets were available at the point of purchase, they said.

The band shared the following statement:

Stay tuned for the updated date…and we’ll see you all very soon!” Additional information will be shared as soon as it becomes available.

Lead singer Richard Butler, 69, and his brother Tim, 67, founded the Furs in 1977. They are the only original members still in the band. The Furs are best known for their 80s hits, including "Love My Way," "Heartbreak Beat," and "Pretty in Pink," featured in the 1986 John Hughes film of the same name.
