Music@Menlo: World-Class Artists, Chamber Music at Its Finest
This vibrant program traces that influence through works by Haydn, Mendelssohn, and Brahms, each drawing on Bach’s mastery of counterpoint and fugue. Completing the journey, John Corigliano’s poignant Fancy on a Bach Air pays tribute to Bach’s revolutionary contributions to the cello and its emergence as a solo instrument.
