• Arson suspect arrested, brush fire extinguished in Palos Verdes Estates (presstelegram.com) — An arson suspect has been arrested after a gasoline-fueled brush fire burned about a quarter-acre of parkland near the 1700 block of Paseo La Cresta in Palos Verdes Estates, with no injuries or structural damage reported. Thanks to quick reporting by a resident and fast work by local police and county firefighters, the blaze was contained in a high fire-hazard zone. Investigators are still seeking information from anyone who may have seen something.
