Pasadena Urges Property Owners To Complete Rental Registration By Oct. 31

Oct. 31 is the deadline to submit property information and pay the city's rental housing fee.

PASADENA, CA — City officials on Wednesday reminded Pasadena rental property owners to complete this year's registration by Saturday, Oct. 31, and pay an annual fee of $236.54 per unit.

The city's Rent Stabilization Department encouraged owners to register early because its office will be closed Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31, making Oct. 29 the last day for in-person registration assistance before the deadline. Completing the process early will allow owners to get assistance and resolve any issues before the deadline, officials said.

All residential rental properties in Pasadena must be registered in the city's Rental Registry. The annual registration period opened Sept. 1, and owners must submit the required property and unit information and pay the applicable fees.

Some units may qualify for fee exemptions. Owners seeking an exemption should submit an application through the Rental Registry before completing the remaining registration steps so staff can review eligibility, officials advised.

The city will provide a seven-day grace period through Nov. 7. Beginning Nov. 8, unpaid registration fees will be subject to increasing late charges:
