3. 2026 Hackaday Supercon: Announcing Our First Round Of Speakers (hackaday.com) — Pasadena will host the 2026 Hackaday Supercon November 6–8, bringing hardware hackers, engineers, and makers to the ArtCenter campus for talks, workshops, badge hacking, and late‑night tinkering. Organizers have announced an initial slate of speakers covering everything from FPGA DOOM and tiny ASIC GPUs to integrated photonics and nature‑inspired engineering, with more presenters promised soon for locals considering grabbing tickets.
   

4. Honey the Pig Heads Home After Pasadena Humane Adoption (mynewsla.com) — A 100-pound pig named Honey has found a new home after Pasadena Humane's public appeal this week. The shelter used her story to remind residents that local rules on keeping pigs vary, with Pasadena and several nearby cities prohibiting them while others allow them.
