• False report of shooting, explosives disrupts Petaluma neighborhood (pressdemocrat.com) — Police and firefighters swarmed a Petaluma neighborhood near Danby Court Friday night after a caller falsely claimed to have shot a relative and strapped on explosives. Officers quickly secured the area, contacted the homeowner and elderly resident, and confirmed no one was hurt and no device existed. Investigators believe it was a swatting incident and are asking anyone with information to contact Petaluma police.
