Actors Ensemble's second production of our 2026 Summer Season in the beautiful John Hinkel Park is A Midsummer Night's Dream, by William Shakespeare, &nbsp;adapted and directed by Michael R. Cohen with Ben Prusiner.&nbsp; Free-of-charge, reservations encouraged (especially for those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility) but not necessary.&nbsp; Presented Saturdays/Sundays &amp; holidays beginning Saturday, August 22nd through Labor Day Monday, September 7th, all at 4 p.m.&nbsp;&nbsp;
A Midsummer Night's Dream is Shakespeare's comical melding of love stories within both the magical forest world of the Fairies and the Athenian court, with the King and Queen of the Fairies, the love quadrangle of Hermia, Demetrius, Lysander and Helena, and the Duke of Athens and his fiance the Queen of the Amazons, all "working things out", with a little intervention by the mischevious Puck and the hapless Mechanicals.&nbsp; A perfect play to end the summer on - join us!

Help us continue this centuries old tradition, still danced every year on Wakes Monday - which this year falls exactly on our Labor day. Bring a picnic! One out of every four people over 65 will have a fall this year. Injuries related to falls, like broken hips and head trauma, lead to emergency room visits, hospital stays and even nursing home placement. That’s the bad news. The good news is that falls are preventable. 
This free one-hour program features a live instructor to explain what poses as fall risks and how to take simple measures to avoid falling. 
Every Month Independence at Home offers a variety of classes in English and Spanish that can be enjoyed by people 55+ and their caregivers. Login at home, or ask a local senior center to share the class to a whole group in their facility.

The City of Union City invites the community to gather in remembrance and reflection at the 25th Anniversary Commemoration of Flight 93 on Friday, September 11, at 10:00 AM at Sugar Mill Landing Park in Union City.
This special ceremony honors the 40 passengers and crew members aboard United Airlines Flight 93 whose courage and selflessness on September 11, 2001, became a lasting symbol of sacrifice, unity, and resilience.
