Independence at Home Presents Fall Prevention - a Free Virtual Class 2-3 pm September 8
September is National Falls Prevention Awareness Month. Falls are avoidable by keeping physically fit and by taking precautions in the home.

Independence at Home (IAH), a community service program of SCAN Health Plan, one of the nation’s largest and fastest growing not-for-profit Medicare Advantage plans, wants to make health as practical and simple as possible for people 55 and older.
During National Falls Prevention Awareness Month, IAH is hosting a free online class that addresses fall prevention in the home and in society.
One out of every four people over 65 will have a fall this year. Injuries related to falls, like broken hips and head trauma, lead to emergency room visits, hospital stays and even nursing home placement. That’s the bad news. The good news is that falls are preventable.
