• Contra Costa County adopts anti-ICE policy (mercurynews.com) — Contra Costa County supervisors have unanimously adopted a new policy limiting local cooperation with federal immigration enforcement, bringing the county in line with cities including Pinole and Richmond. The policy, modeled on state guidance, bars use of county resources to assist ICE without a judicial warrant and was chosen over a slower-moving ordinance after lengthy debate about how best to protect immigrant residents.
