• The Campaign for College Opportunity names Los Medanos College a 2026 Pathway Champion of Placement (contracosta.news) — Los Medanos College’s Pittsburg campus has been honored as a 2026 Pathway Champion of Placement for boosting Latinx student success in transfer-level English and closing equity gaps. Local faculty and leaders credit student-centered teaching changes and an equity-focused plan for raising completion rates to 72% overall and for Latinx students. The college will be recognized during a statewide virtual celebration later this month.
