3-Year-Old Rescued From Rollover Crash In Pleasanton
Firefighters rescued a three-year-old when the car they were traveling in hit an unoccupied parked car and rolled over, police said.
PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton police and firefighters rescued a three-year-old trapped in the car that rolled over during a crash, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.
On July 8 at around 9:10 a.m., a car crashed into an unoccupied parked car on Carver Court near the intersection of Alvord Way, according to Pleasanton Police Department Lt. Nicholas Albert.
When officers arrived, they found the driver safely out of the car, but their three-year-old child remained securely buckled in the child safety seat while the car rested on two wheels. Firefighters stabilized the vehicle, and the child was rescued with only a minor injury.

Albert said the car crashed due to driver distraction, though no criminal charges are being filed.
“This is a powerful reminder that properly using a child safety seat can make a life-saving difference. Taking a few extra moments to ensure your child's seat is correctly installed and fitted is one of the most important things you can do before every trip,” police said in a post.
