Join the Tri-Valley Antipoverty Collaborative and Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance for a morning of connection, education, and action with regional organizations working to turn housing instability into housing stability.
Stable housing is a human right, but housing instability can feel like living in a house of cards – a single gust, a single challenge, and the fragile framework collapses. Just as a basic house of cards can be rebuilt into something sturdier, housing stability can be planned, with intention.
We’ll hear directly from Amy Cole-Bloom, PhD, of Alameda County Health’s Housing & Homelessness Services, on the policy and systems-level work shaping our region’s response to the housing crisis. Contra Costa County Supervisor Candace Andersen will moderate a panel discussion of regional nonprofit leaders from Housing Consortium of the East Bay, Goodness Village, Trinity Center, and City Serve. They will examen what’s actually happening on the ground: shelters, transitional housing, and wraparound services turning crisis into stability for real families. We’ll then shine a spotlight on how local government and affordable housing developers are partnering to build lasting solutions, and close with an eye towards the future.
This isn’t just a conversation about a crisis. It’s a conversation about hope, and about what becomes possible when a community decides to build something sturdier, together. Don’t miss it.
