• DNA connects suspect to 1990 Oxnard kidnapping, authorities announce (vcstar.com) — Investigators have arrested a Long Beach man in a 36‑year‑old Oxnard kidnapping and assault case that began near Ormond Beach and Perkins and Hueneme roads, just up the coast from Port Hueneme. Advanced DNA testing from Ventura County’s Sexual Assault Kit Initiative linked him to the crime, though only kidnapping and related charges are still legally viable. Authorities are seeking information about a second suspect and any additional victims.
