Funded entirely by the cityās Measure R marijuana tax, the work will use slurry seals and other treatments to extend road life by up to 25% while avoiding far costlier full reconstructions.

Visalia Elks Lodge to celebrate 10th annual Honor the Badge event (hanfordsentinel.com) ā Porterville first responders are invited to a free appreciation lunch as the Visalia Elks Lodge hosts its 10th annual Honor the Badge event on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026.
