• Arevon celebrates opening of its Nighthawk Energy Storage Project in Poway (sandiegouniontribune.com) — Poway's new Nighthawk Energy Storage Project is now online in the South Poway Business Park, bringing one of the region's largest battery facilities and more than $30 million in expected tax revenue. Officials say its Tesla Megapack batteries will bolster grid reliability, support green energy goals, and include extensive fire-safety measures after concerns raised by earlier storage-site fires. 
• Poway Community Foundation raises $45K at Brews & Boots fundraiser (sandiegouniontribune.com) — Poway residents just helped raise about $45,000 at the Brews & Boots and Corks fundraiser in Old Poway Park, supporting a wide range of local nonprofits. From rides on Poway's historic "Rattlesnake Creek" train to live music and unlimited tastings, the event doubled as a community party and a major boost for groups serving families, seniors, students, and vulnerable neighbors across Poway.
