• Cordova council approves final map for 59-home project south of White Rock Road (folsomtimes.com) — Rancho Cordova has cleared the way for 59 new single-family homes in the Rio Del Oro area south of White Rock Road, with roads and utilities guaranteed by a $5.44 million infrastructure agreement. The City Council’s approval finalizes the subdivision map, dedicates new public streets, and continues the buildout of one of the city’s fastest-growing residential districts.
   

• Justin Cooper out of Pro Motocross with a concussion suffered at Hangtown (nbcsports.com) — A major crash at the Hangtown Motocross Classic in Rancho Cordova left top rider Justin Cooper with a concussion, sidelining him for several Pro Motocross rounds. The incident happened on the first lap of Moto 2, though he still left with strong season standings and is targeting a RedBud return.
