• 3 hurt in vehicle, SacRT crash in Rancho Cordova (abc10.com) — A serious crash between a vehicle and a SacRT light rail train in Rancho Cordova sent three people to the hospital with critical injuries and forced emergency extrication for one victim. The collision near Folsom Boulevard and Mills Park Drive has shut down nearby roads and light rail service for an unknown length of time, so expect detours and delays in the area.
   

• Sacramento charter school faces possible closure due to $388K deficit (kcra.com) — A Sacramento charter high school on Rancho Cordova’s border is at risk of closing as district leaders weigh its $388,000 deficit and shrinking enrollment. With only 146 students and questions about long-term financial support, officials are already surveying teens about possible relocation, while a Rancho Cordova councilmember notes Folsom Cordova Unified might be interested in the campus.
   

• Kyleigh Stallings Signs With Storm Lake Honda for 2026 WMX Championship (racerxonline.com) — Rancho Cordova gets a nod in national motocross news as the 2026 WMX season kicks off June 5 at the Hangtown Motocross Classic, held here. Rising star Kyleigh Stallings is switching from Kawasaki to Storm Lake Honda/Buddy Brooks Racing, with WMX rounds running second motos on Saturdays and airing live on Peacock throughout the summer.
