• Lomita Man To Stand Trial Over Alleged Threat To 'Shoot Up' Redondo Beach Jewish Center (patch.com) — Redondo Beach residents are learning more about the hate-crime case involving a Lomita man accused of repeatedly calling a local Jewish community center and allegedly threatening to "shoot up the place" while hundreds of children were present. Prosecutors say he previously avoided prison through a diversion program that required anti-bias training, but he allegedly continued making antisemitic, threatening calls and now faces a potential multi-year state prison sentence.
