• Redondo Union girls flag football shuts out Palos Verdes in Bay League showdown (dailybreeze.com) — Redondo Union's girls flag football team tightened its grip on the Bay League race with a 20-0 shutout of Palos Verdes and will host the rematch in Redondo Beach on October 13. Quarterback Blair Nolen threw three touchdowns while a stingy Sea Hawks defense logged its sixth shutout, limiting the Sea Kings to short gains and denying a late scoring chance.
