• California cardiologist's light sentence for heinous hit-and-run sparks wave of outrage (timesnewsnetworks.com) — A Reedley woman, 26-year-old mother of three Juliana Ramos, was killed in a 2021 hit-and-run near Fresno, and the driver has now received an eight‑month jail sentence. Her Reedley family expressed deep frustration in court, saying the punishment doesn’t reflect their loss or her plans to become a nursing assistant.
