Mystery Ingredients Put North Bay Bartenders Under Pressure In Battle Of The Bottle

ROHNERT PARK-COTATI, CA — Ten bartenders from some of the most recognizable North Bay restaurants and bars will be faced on Monday with mystery ingredients and a ticking clock.

They will be competing for a $5,000 first-place prize at the Graton Resort & Casino.

The Full Tilt Mixology Competition will pit two bartenders against each other at a time. The instructions involve ingredients from a mystery box used to make a cocktail in a timed challenge.

A panel of industry and entertainment professionals will judge the drinks, with the competition shown on screens for guests.

The participating venues include the The Graton Resort & Casino, the Waterhawk Bar in Rohnert Park, Fern Bar and the Goldfinch in Sebastopol, The Matheson, Spoonbar, and Willi’s Seafood & Raw Bar in Healdsburg, and, from, Santa Rosa, Jackson’s Bar and Oven, from Petaluma, the Luma Bar & Eatery, and from Windsor, the Spur Saloon.

The judges include comedian Felicia Folkes, Jake Snow of San Francisco’s Pour Guys, Inc. bar collection, and Lauren Holland, a bar supervisor for Live Nation Entertainment in Sacramento.

Second place will earn $3,000, and third place will earn $2,000.

Guests will have a contest of their own. They can sample a People’s Choice cocktail at each of 10 participating bar stations and vote for a favorite.

The top two People’s Choice winners will receive $500 and $250, respectively.

Luma Bar & Eatery in Petaluma; Spur Saloon in Windsor; and Graton Resort & Casino.

The competition runs from 5 to 7 p.m. in The Event at Graton. Tickets include cocktail sampling, passed appetizers, and admission to an after-party from 7 to 9 p.m. at the North Lawn and Pool Bar. The after-party will feature a DJ, pizza, and additional cocktail samples.

Guests must be at least 21.
