SAN DIEGO, CA — As we head into the new workweek, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday through Monday to prepare you for Tuesday.
But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, residents could see some drizzle or light rain this week, according to the National Weather Service.
"A low pressure system will bring cool temperatures, morning drizzle, and gusty winds to the beaches, mountains, and deserts today through Thursday," NWS Los Angeles forecasters wrote Tuesday. "Winds will be the strongest this afternoon and evening. Friday into early next week a warming trend is likely, with temperatures reaching above normal by Sunday."

In other news, an Amber Alert was issued for an abducted 4-year-old girl; a missing man was found dead; a possible drowning victim was found on a beach; a police officer was charged with child exploitation crimes; and a shelter-in-place order was issued for a massive industrial fire.
Also, at least 25 birds were contaminated in an oil spill, and a catastrophic explosion of a chemical tank was averted.
