Give Blood, Get An 'Addams Family' T-Shirt In San Diego County

SAN DIEGO, CA — The San Diego Blood Bank is asking Southern Californians to lend a hand this October and offering donors a T-shirt featuring Thing from "The Addams Family" in return.

Anyone who donates blood at a San Diego Blood Bank donation center or mobile blood drive through Oct. 31 will receive the special-edition shirt.

Blood donations help ensure hospitals have blood available for patients when it is needed, according to the nonprofit.

Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in generally good health.

Blood drives will be held throughout San Diego and Orange counties. Appointments can be made at SanDiegoBloodBank.org/thingshirt. Walk-ins are welcome.
