The event will feature live music, costumes, photo opportunities and a post-race expo and beer garden.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Runners and walkers will take to the streets of downtown San Diego on Saturday for the inaugural Margaritaville Run, a tropical-themed 5K and 10K through the Gaslamp Quarter.
The event will feature live music, costumes, photo opportunities and a post-race expo and beer garden for participants 21 and older. All registered participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt, finisher medal and a complimentary margarita after completing the race.
Organizers said the event is open to runners, walkers and fans of the Jimmy Buffett-inspired lifestyle. The race also will benefit Give Kids The World Village, a nonprofit that provides wish vacations for critically ill children and their families.
