4. Thousands flock to interfaith march in San Diego to proclaim dignity for immigrants (sandiegouniontribune.com) — Thousands of San Diegans from multiple faiths marched near Balboa Park to call for dignity and better treatment of immigrants and refugees in the local region. Organized by the Catholic Diocese of San Diego, the event featured clergy, immigrant speakers, and community leaders who criticized rising ICE arrests and gathered signatures for reforms at Otay Mesa detention center and protections around schools, hospitals, and houses of worship.
