Father Arrested In Death Of 7-Month-Old Daughter In San Diego (patch.com) — San Diego police arrested a 38-year-old father on suspicion of murder and child abuse after his 7-month-old daughter was found unresponsive in a Mission Valley West apartment and later died at Rady Children's Hospital. Investigators say medical staff discovered significant trauma, prompting a joint probe by the Child Abuse and Homicide units, and are asking anyone with information in San Diego to contact detectives or Crime Stoppers.
   

2. San Diego Holocaust survivors' stories, artifacts find new home at Central Library (cbs8.com) — San Diego Holocaust survivors' artifacts and stories are getting a prominent new home in a two-year exhibit at the Downtown Central Library. Opening next Tuesday, the free "Remember Us The Holocaust" display features personal items, artwork, and life-size cutouts honoring local survivors who educated thousands of San Diego-area students about the Holocaust.
   

3. Local business tries to stay afloat amid permitting issues on water (10news.com) — A San Diego picnic-boat company says it's been sidelined because the city isn't issuing new Mission Bay commercial permits, forcing them to cancel bookings and hunt for a partner with an existing permit. After earlier hurdles at Otay Lakes, the owners are petitioning the city and knocking on hotel and resort doors, hoping to get back on the water legally.
   

4. Water main break floods downtown San Diego and Seaport Village (cbs8.com) — A water main break flooded parts of downtown San Diego and Seaport Village, forcing the closure of eastbound Harbor Drive near popular restaurants and shops. City crews are working overnight and into tomorrow to repair the line and damaged street, so anyone heading to Seaport Village should expect lane closures and cleanup activity in the area.
   

5. Chaos at major California airport as passengers stuck in miserable lines due to mass outage (timesnewsnetworks.com) — Travelers using San Diego International Airport are being urged to arrive early after an IT outage slowed ticketing, causing long lines and crowded terminals Tuesday morning. The airport says flights are still operating, but passengers should closely monitor their airline's updates and expect delays at check-in and security while the technical issue is resolved.
