Woman Killed In 2-Car Crash On I-5 In San Diego
The woman suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A woman was killed early Wednesday after being struck in a crash on Interstate 5 in San Diego, authorities said.
The crash happened around 1:12 a.m. on southbound Interstate 5 near Washington Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Investigators said an Infiniti carrying two women crashed into the center divider for unknown reasons before coming to a stop in traffic lanes. Both occupants got out of the car before a Toyota SUV driven by a 52-year-old Chula Vista man struck the disabled vehicle and the 20-year-old passenger of the Infiniti.

The woman suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was withheld pending family notification.
Authorities said alcohol and drugs were not believed to have been factors in the collision. The crash remained under investigation.
