NORTHERN CALIFORNIA — As the weekend wraps up, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Northern California’s top stories, residents should know that the cooling trend will continue, at least for Monday.

Most areas will remain as much as 10 degrees cooler than is typical for early July, according to the National Weather Service. But, according to the forecast, a gradual warmup begins Tuesday.

In other news, the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, allegedly struck a legally parked vehicle in Yountville over the holiday weekend before driving away, causing significant damage, according to the Napa County Sheriff's Office.

Paul Pelosi caused major damage to a parked car in Napa County, striking the vehicle and then fleeing, the sheriff's office said. The 86-year-old had no alcohol in his system.
