4 Injured In Boat Crash Near Richmond Marina

One adult was taken by helicopter to a trauma center and three adults were taken by ground ambulance to local hospitals, firefighters said.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Four people suffered serious to moderate injuries Saturday night in a boat crash near Brooks Island Regional Preserve near the Richmond Marina, San Francisco firefighters said.

The boat crashed on a jetty-style rock structure in shallow water, said firefighters, who responded to a request for mutual aid from the U.S. Coast Guard about 8:30 p.m.

One adult was taken by helicopter to a trauma center and three adults were taken by ground ambulance to local hospitals, firefighters said on social media.

San Francisco Fire Department Rescue Boat 35 and Rescue Boat 2, a Coast Guard helicopter and Coast Guard rescue boat were involved in the rescue.
